FWOP officers and Safran Labinal employees pose in front of the donated computers.

Recently FWOP in teamwork with UNT Office of Sustainability managed to secure 30 used computers from a large firm in Denton – Safran- Labinal Power Systems. Students from the University of North Texas that are part of the organization UNT Future Without Poverty including Emily Medina (president), Rachel Barton (treasurer), Dr. Ignman (president of Future Without Poverty Inc.) Juan Pagoada, Nicola Driver, and Fernanda Ornelas received the computers and delivered them to Sanger Independent School District, a relative small school district north of Denton, Texas. We learned the middle school lacked computers for students to use on campus.

UNT Office of Sustainability based upon in part FWOP link to schools in Mexico, has trained 30 some teachers to introduce sustainability into their curriculum. The EXCEL education program can be reviewed online ( www.untsci.com). As part of UNT partnership they have agreed to assist Sanger ISD to expand their capacity to serve the student in Sanger. FWOP is also going to provide speakers from the region to expand the exposer of students to outstanding leaders in business, government and education from the North Texas region.
