The UNT Hunger Banquet will be starting TOMORROW (September 15th) at the Willis Library Forum, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The Library Forum is on the first floor of the Willis Library, in the room surrounded by glass. The event is completely free, but canned food donations are encouraged.

Come to the Hunger Banquet and see what it is like to dine in another socio-economic class. Those who come to the event will be assigned one of three income levels, and each will be served a different meal. The three different income levels are:

  1. The top 20% of the world (those who earn over $6,000 USD per year) will be served a nice meal of herb chicken.
  2. The middle 30% of the world (those who earn $1,000 to $6,000 USD per year) must serve themselves rice and beans.
  3. The bottom 50% of the world (those who earn less than $1,000 USD per year) must only eat rice while on the floor.

This event is to help spread awareness about the reality of poverty, and how many people it afflicts worldwide. FWOP will have a booth at the event.
